About Neumode
Director and Registered Builder Michael Hill has over 35 years of experience in the building industry. As a qualified carpenter and builder, he sets the benchmark for his company’s exceptional attention to detail in addition to contributing extensive technical building expertise. Michael has spent many years renovating and extending period homes as well as architecturally designed custom homes.
As a result of Michael's broad experience, he has the skills to transform an original house into a stunning contemporary home, while retaining heritage details or blending to a modern home. All this ably supported by a professional team of employees and sub-contractors. Michael values quality client relationships as much as the construction itself.
Director: Michael Hill
Director, Michael Hill, qualified as a carpenter in 1993 and has worked extensively in the residential and small commercial building industry, predominantly in Victoria with stints in Queensland and the UK. Michael’s apprenticeship included renovating period homes in Malvern, Glen Iris, and the surrounds.
Starting his own business, his reputation quickly ensured word of mouth referrals assisted to build the business and his team of trades. Neumode Design and Construction was registered in 2001 and has become a multi-award-winning company that offers comprehensive building services with a reputation for building homes of the highest quality. Neumode’s experience ranges from small extensions to architecturally designed new homes.
Since 2006, Neumode is proud to have been presented with multiple Master Builders Association of Victoria (MBAV) Excellence in Housing and Housing Industry Association (HIA) awards showcasing building craftsmanship.
Our Team
Over the years Michael has assembled and retained an enthusiastic and collaborative team that consists of both full-time professional employees and sub-contractors who share his commitment to building excellence. Each project has a Site Manager allocated who actively works on the project as well as supervising day-to-day site professionals. Neumode believes strongly in guiding the next generation of carpenters and has a number of carpentry apprentices at any one time.

Gaby Musits
Accountant & Business Workflow ManagerGaby Musits joined Neumode in 2012 and is the Accountant & Business Workflow Manager with her qualifications of Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Accounting. Gaby manages all financial aspects of the business as well as the online project management system (Co-Construct).
Gaby also liaises with the Construction Manager and On-Site Supervisors on timelines and delivers specialist administration support by organizing all supplies and materials relating to your project and potential variations.
Joanna Hill
Interior DecoratorJoanna is a qualified Interior Decorator (Cert IV Interior Decoration – Swinburne Uni) who can work with you to assist in the aesthetics of your home from colours and fabrics to finishes, fixtures and fittings. Originally training and working as an Occupational Therapist provides Jo another dimension when assisting with design; specifically when looking at future proofing homes and providing functional yet beautiful homes for people with all levels of ability. Jo also works with the Construction Manager and On-Site Supervisors to deliver specialist administration support by liaising with clients on all owner supplied items.
