Project: Courang Road, Glen Iris
This project involved the design and construction of a new contemporary pavilion style family home. The design is inspired by the client’s holidays in Bali and Thailand providing resort style living and utilising inventive construction materials and a design layout that meets the varying needs of a family with teenagers.
The scope of works also included the construction of a central alfresco area and a magnificent feature infinity pool. The pool is framed on the south side by a living pavilion, on the north by a more private master suite and to the east by a fully-glazed gallery that serves as the entrance to the house and also links the areas together.
Another key feature of this design is the ability to zone areas of the house without isolating them. From the parent’s retreat, to the living area, to the guest wing and the children’s bedrooms at first floor level - all are distinctly separate, yet connected through glazing and carefully considered architectural elements.
The fully landscaped surroundings blend harmoniously with the new home.
